The lyrics and their delivery feel like a endless stream of quite neurotic thought.
Despite the showiness of the presentation (and the musician),
the lyrics are a continuous spiel of insecurities and attempts to understand and
control neurotic thoughts and musings.
Rather than editing around it, the typography is true to the vocal's strange structure.
Sentences that seem unnecessarily long are squashed in the frame as if the animator has been caught of guard. This boundary restriction shows a containment of the thoughts competing with the space in one's mind.
The lyric video takes every opportunity to deliver on the humour and fun.
The seemingly contradictive up-beat mood set with the self-deprecation and concerns in
the lyrics, would be universally familiar with many people managing their anxieties.
