Official music video animation for 'Machina Sky' by Moon Panda
An alien humanoid and their robot companion journey through alien landscapes,
sight-seeing strange, part mechanical wildlife and beautiful views.
Earth in the far future?
After making the video for Tangerine Light,
followed by
Starfruit, this is the final of a trilogy of music video created for
Moon Panda's campaign for the release of their album
'Sing, Spaceship, Sing'

Released July 23

The trio of Moon Panda videos all share the same relaxed, observation-based sci-fi vibe
but I also linked them by directly contrasting the styles and environments.

Tangerine Light
is grainy block pastel colours with no outlines or use of black.
It focuses on a building’s interior and involves lots of square/cube elements.

Starfruit, in opposition, is purely outlines and has a fully black background.
It focuses on the external so much it’s set in deep space. It also centres on the human form
rather than background aliens. Plus it has a prominent visual theme of circles.
Machina Sky doubles down and a new photo collage aesthetic / technique is used, with 3D elements.
It centres on landscapes, includes more iridescent silvers and greys, involves characters
and has a sneaky visual theme of triangles.
